We also use the Costco brand of clumping litter -Litter Purrrfect. It's really fab! We always buy several at once. It is a bit dusty, but I love the clumps - they are so easy to clean!

We use Worlds Best Cat litter which is pricey but really worth it as we have 3 indoor kitty's.  Zooplus carry many different brands so worth a look.

After reading this, we bought two bags of the Classy Cat. Yes, pricey to buy, but this stuff really lasts. My husband is in charge of scooping, and he swears this is the best litter we have ever used. It clumps around the 'deposit' and doesn't contaminate the surrounding litter. Some of the cheaper stuff clumped (sort of) but the wet bit spread, and the litter is a large part of the tray was unusable after a scoop.

Thanks for the help!  I'm looking to try a cheaper alternative when I get there, so the tips you've provided are really helpful.  I just hope my kitties take to it so I can stop buying the expensive stuff.  I have one cat who has stomach issues, so a really good clumping formula is essential to help with his mess.

I miss Arm & Hammer, but after trial and error I've been happy with Oko Plus litter. I've only seen it at Pets at Home, 10L for £8.29, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't carry it elsewhere. Also I believe Catsan is supposed to be good too but I've not tried it on my two. Good luck :)

I've been using this stuff too, and I think it's the best I've found on either side of the Atlantic.  I was catsitting for a friend who used World's Best at the same time I started using OkoPlus, and I think the OkoPlus was much better at controlling stink.  Plus, cheaper!  You can buy it online for about £25 for a 40L bag, which seems to be lasting me forever (two inside cats).  Lifting it is a bit of nightmare, though. . .

Yes, that's what I've found, it's quite better at controlling stink. I mean, there's always one right as they're using it and just after, but that's to be expected. But £25?? I have to check that out, thanks!

Huzzah for controlling stink!  That's what I need with three little monsters.  I'm writing down the brand now to investigate when I move!  Thanks!

Yes and it sure beats hearing about how often or not someone is getting sex. Yawn. Then again, maybe it's not so different..."It isn't the quantity, it's the quality."  Liars. Anyone knows it is both!

I've read this entire thread, and nobody has mentioned a brand of litter that does NOT need to be scooped, that does NOT track, and does NOT stink! Every litter I've tried so far TRACKS like the dickens! We have two indoor-only kitties, and I find myself sweeping and mopping a sawdust/clay/paper bits filth trail from one end of the house to the other (we have an all-tile floor in our studio flat) at least four times per day! Is there ANY litter that is similar to the American brand, "Tidy Cats" (non-clumping)?!?!?! It was my favourite, and I cannot find a similar product in the UK! I sure do miss my Tidy Cats for Multiple Cats.  :\\\'( HELP!!!!!! My back can't take much more of this!
Wherever you go, there you are!

Try regular Cat San, it is non-clumping white nuggets.

Have you tried silica litter? It might be the perfect solution for you, if your cats will use it.

I need cat litter that will discourage him from raking the cat box liners to shreds!  >:(
