So we're doing the consular report of birth and getting DS his passport tomorrow morning. I just read the bit on the embassy page that says they don't allow electronics (nothing new) and that you should find a place to have them stored along with any large bags (like backpacks) as there's no storage facilities on site.
I have 2 questions:
Last year about a year ago DH and I went to get me a new passport as our dog ate mine and they kept out phones and electronic stuff at the check in point. Do they not do this anymore? Do I have to store the phones and iPods down at Gould pharmacy? Last year they put all ours together in a bag and stored it in that little building you have to walk through to get in the embassy.
As far as backpacks go, DH and I each have one plus the diaper bag for DS. I don't need to have them stored but I'd like to take them in with us as we're going straight to the train station after we leave the embassy. Also our appointment is at 8:30 am and I doubt I'd have time to have it stored anyway. Is this also something I have to leave at Goulds? My backpack is mostly just extra supplies for my baby, nappies, clothes, toys, etc anyway.
Any help on thee points is sooo appreciated!! Thanks!
