Buying online xmas presents for family in the US
« on: December 07, 2011, 01:26:34 PM »
Lately I'm having difficulty buying Christmas presents for family back in the US.  I have a US bank account and CC.  Most online stores will still accept it for payment.  However, this year a couple of stores (Macy's and Saks) wouldn't let me order online as they could tell I was on a computer outside the US.  Even though I wanted to pay from my US account and send gifts to a US address, they wouldn't accept an order from me.  Has anyone else run into this?  Any workarounds?

Thanks

Are you using a US address as well as a US CC?
If so Call Macys and do it over the phone.  I have ordered from them with my US CC and US address and shipped to a friends in the Us with no problems.

I know fifty three manages the oversea part but you are buying and shipping in US, it should let you.

good luck

I changed my billing address to my residence here in the UK (as my bank requested it).  Neither Macy's nor Saks will accept this.  Nordstrom does!!!  So guess who got my business?!   ;D
