The process of scrapping a car?

We have our new car now and want to scrap our old one but I keep reading scrap company scams out there. Does anyone know a reputable place that will collect it?

Also, once it's scrapped, can we get a tax refund? And do we need to notify the DVLA? The above company's website says that they do all the paperwork but it seems fishy to me.

If someone does know the answer on here I would talk to the AA, they seem to know everything about cars.

I've finally scrapped the car using the company mentioned above. For future reference in case anyone stumbles upon this thread, they are perfectly legit. Took the car, handed over the cash and signed all the proper paper work.  Took like 5 minutes!
