And salad cream, I like it!  ;D

How do ranch packets taste made up with salad cream? Anyone tried that?

I much prefer Brown Sauce

Me also!

Ranch.  [smiley=bleck.gif]

Ketchup.  [smiley=bleck.gif]

Brown Sauce.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Mayo.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Mayo and Garlic. Or Mayo, garlic and mustard. Or (vegetarian) gravy & curds. [smiley=smitten.gif]

Basically, chips-wise, I am Northern, Belgian & Quebecoise.  ;D

Ketchup.  [smiley=bleck.gif]

I love ketchup!  My  new thing is to mix a bit of Cholula into it!  It really 'dresses it up'! [smiley=chef.gif]

Ranch could never be the new ketchup, because ketchup is tomato-y and ranch is not!

How funny, I've just today whipped up some ranch from a packet I had in the cupboard. Haven't had it in months but fancied some with my chips.

I used to eat it with everything back home. My favorite was a Jack in the Box chicken burger smothered with ranch. Obviously not the healthiest but damn good. Now, I just have it every once in awhile but I have to have it for pizza. I don't like it without.

I just today introduced the girls to it. I dipped a bit of their chip into it. They were not impressed. They were happy to feed mommy, though!

Cheesy breadsticks dipped in ranch was a staple of my college diet.  I still crave them sometimes.  Ranch could never replace ketchup for me though.  I am a ketchup-on-scrambled-eggs girl, and as much as I like ranch, it would be disgusting on eggs.  Also, I don't think I'd care for it on chips.  But then, I eat a lot less ketchup than I used to.  Salt and vinegar does the trick for me.  And mayo ;).  Mayonnaise+potato=heaven.

BTW, if you serve ranch with your wings you are committing a huge sacrilege.

No danger.  :)
I don't eat wings... not enough meat to make them worthwhile!

I used to think so before I moved to Buffalo.  It's not the meat you eat them for.  ;)

ETA: Not that you can use unmeaty wings and expect them to be right, but the point isn't the meat:

Blue cheese anything equals major boak

Wings are happily eaten without any dipping sauce. The awesome hot sauce on the outside of the chicken is more than enough.

Absolutely! I could go for some right now!

Oh, no! I love blue cheese dressing! I had a salad at a friend's house for lunch yesterday and she'd made her own dressing - it was FAB.

I love me some stinky ole blue cheese! Give me your Roquefort, your Gorgonzola, your Danablu, yearning to be consumed!  :D
