Expat Tax Webinar Interest?
« on: April 28, 2012, 05:12:11 PM »
On a More Positive Note:

I have had a brief exchange with an expat tax specialist about having a free webinar, where there would be a presentation given then followed by a Question and Answer session. There is also talk that there may be a free tax return preparation awarded to one of the attendees if this goes forward.

I'd like to ask if there is any interest amongst the members here before we set about organising this? Feel free to reply or send a PM if you're interested. :)

Definitely, but if and only if the expert is willing to back up professional opinions on tax treaty 'gray areas' with rulings from the IRS.
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)
1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!
