With this lot of somewhat finicky eaters that I have, the Home Interiors plaque in my kitchen sums up my cooking:

          'Today's Menu'
           Two Choices:
       Take It or Leave it!

::) :D

I can never please them all so I just get on with it my way and they eat it....or make their own. LOL

The one thing I wonder about with the eating differences is which way will Juliona go (of course either way will be fine with us) but it is going to be interesting to see which way she chooses to use.

Hiya again,
I have really enjoyed reading this thread,and I can relate to soooo much!LOL :D
Not rinsing the dishes,and having only one sink,yeppers I thought was hubby had gone around the twist,when I saw him not rinse the dishes :o LOL.
Having pork n beans with the "all Day Breakfast"well they call it baked beans ,hehehehehehe,and beans and more beans sic  beans on toast(which I really liked after all)Buttering your bread for sandwiches,no matter what kind it was.
Yep,my hubby thought I was totally batty when I mentioned "leftovers"why waste good food eh? LOL You know I asked anyway for the "doggie bag" :P
tin=can cookies=biscuits cart=trolley garbage=rubbish etc....
When someone anwers the phone,saying "Who's that"not "who's this"hehehehehehehe
I know there are lots of things my Brit hubby has to say,and I think his #1 complaint is not having HOT tea in every place we eat,and if they do it taste like "rubbish.If I could have a dime for EVERY cup of tea that I have made that man in the last 4 years,then Id be a mighty rich lady dont ya know LOL
But honestly I wouldnt trade him for all the money in the world,I love the UK,I feel its more home for me then the US.and I could do cartwheels now that I know we are moving back in a few months! ;)
Love really is boundless ,if you want it to be, and will maintain even if you are married to a cheeky brit!I loved messing with my family and friends after living over there,and talking the UK talk,they did stay confused for awhile,but picked up some of the lingo (Cheeky and bloody,comes to mind)Heehehehehe

Do any of you ladies dislike being called "luv" or "my love" by total strangers, and not only once , but repeatedly??  I may be weird but words like love are very special to me and meant only for my TRUE LOVE and wanted ONLY FROM my TRUE love.  Am I the only one who feels this way???  It has really bothered me and my sweetheart has tired very hard not to call other women "luv" anymore.

Thanks Rhia, for the reply!!!  I guess I am strange but I just don't like "my man" calling every woman in the UK....terms of endearment.  I am glad to know I am not the only one that really doesn't like being called "luv" over and over in one single conversation.
MY GUY  wonderful tho at not calling other women names like this because he realized it actually hurts me.  He is the most wondeful guy in the world, to me.  :)

I have to say, I was amazed that my honey didn't rinse the dishes either!!!!!  haha!  I thought it was just him (maybe being a guy) ...haha, but apparently not, huh?? :)  I asked him to please rinse them as that really bothers me and he does now.   See what a wonderful guy I found here in the UK???  He is so thoughtful and considerate of me also.  I am so very very thankful for him!!!  We have our differences and culture differences but we are gently working on them all. :)

Oh! Also I have put down a papertowel to put a sandwich on or a piece of cake and he has never once complained.  Infact, once he did it too.  ;D

Nah.. never was bothered by it.  In fact I remember the first time a Brit addressed me in that manner.  I was on a British Airways flight and one of the male attendants asked "What sort of drink would you like, luv?"  I remember thinking at the time that it was quite quaint :)

Hahah.. it took Sean 2 1/2 years before he'd consistently remember to rinse the dishes!  Even now he forgets on occasion.

One thing that drives me up the wall is that he'll use a fork and knife for pizza, french fries, everything.. hand him a piece of cake and what do you know?  He picks it up with his fingers!  Makes absolutely no sense.   ???
