Two weeks is nothin! I waited months just to be told I'll need to complete another interview step.

Are you undergrad or postgrad? Undergrad school took about 2 weeks to get back to me. It's the postgrad one that took ages.

When are you planning on starting your studies? I saw on your other posts that you are applying for PhD places. Although a lot of universities do accept admissions all through the year, often people will apply in the Fall/Winter for places starting in Fall of the next academic year.

When I applied for my masters course, I sent my applications off in October 2005 and received offer letters in January 2006. I had an interview for funding with one of them in March 2006 and then I met with the tutor for one of them in June 2006 and started on that course in October 2006.

I applied for a PhD place in July 2005 to start in September 2005 and was offered it within a month, but that was rushed through because the professor was desperate for a PhD student ASAP (I decided to turn it down though).

I also applied for a PhD place in June 2009, to start in October 2010, and I think it took them about a month to reject me. It would have been a longer process if I had been successful though, due to things like interviews.

You can call the schools and ask them when you might receive a response to your application, if you want too.

I applied to all Ivy schools for undergrad, and I had a response of acceptance, and even all of my scholarship info, before my friend who applied to state schools even had a confirmation email for received documents! I had my response in like a month, tops, and she ended up waiting another month! And we applied at the same time. Same deadline date - like, within 2 days or something? I suspect that is because state schools are bigger? More applicants, more students attend... More paperwork for them to go through, maybe?

So, I think each school is different. But, it takes time.

For grad school I do remember waiting much longer... I was accepted to the college first, and THEN into the scholarship program... I got the college acceptance letter in about 7 weeks, and the specific program acceptance... ya ready for this... 3 days before the program started! I got the scholarship info for the program THE DAY CLASSES STARTED. (But, that program was run my nutters.)

So, chillax.

Applied for Spouse Visa the following week, with express service, and I was approved 4 days later!
Arrived in the UK 05/20/11.
I took the stupid LIUK Test Oct. 2012.
We were granted ILR In Person in Croydon on 04/23/13.
Got BRP 2 days later, in mail box - it just appeared.

I really hope I don't have to wait months. I already check back everyday... 3, 4 , or 5 times a day.

I am applying to PHD places and for Jan. Admissions. I am applying to 4 schools total. I am hoping since I been in constant contact with my potential departments throughout this that an answer won't take months to give.

Thanks all I am honestly SHOCKED i got into this one lol.
This school is ranked number 1 in the UK for my program...also I screwed up my personal statement (i accidentally sent them one with another UNI name in one of the paragraphs. ehhhh i know i know)

lol So yes I am completely shocked I head from them first and with an yes answer lol

I also sent off my application to the Uni of Glasgow at the same time I sent this one...I thought I would had heard from that school first  but i am still waiting on them. lol.

Now that i know i got in somewhere i am not going to apply to the other two schools on my list Loughborough and Glasgow were my first 2 choices.
