Have anyone used these people before?
« on: October 05, 2004, 08:18:56 PM »
Hi all,

Has anyone used Holmes and Lolly before?  They are dedicated to marriage visas (primarily K1 to K4, but they also do I-130's too).  They're URL is http://www.fianceevisas.com.

I spoke to them today and they seem very knowledgable about the whole process...  Just wondering if there are any horror stories, or bad experiences...?

Thanks!

S.

Nope sorry, never heard of them - good luck and let us know if they are able to help you out. :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

We are using them now and just got our I-130 approved. They are very knowledgeable and accessible, though some of their employees are not the sharpest tacks...  But Allan Lolly has been very good as has Chris Holmes.  Just remember they can only tell you how the process has moved in the past, NOT how our current USCIS is (mis)handling applications.  They are also relatively inexpensive compared to charges our friends have paid to immigration lawyers.  Good luck!

I hired Holmes and Lolly to be my attorneys for a very simple immigration case. They have been a nightmare.  I have not talked to either Lawrence or Allan since they sold me on hiring them.  They assigned me to an incompetent paralegal who did more harm than good.  Then I tried to contact one of the partners to express my disappointment with their services and neither have called me back despite several phone and e-mail messages.

If I had it to do over, my wife and I would have completed and submitted the paperwork ourselves.  Just go to the U.S. Embassy website of the country your finance or wife is from.  It will walk you through the process.  We actually completed most of the process ourselves.  If you are going to hire and attorney, I would advise AGAINST hiring HOLMES AND LOLLY.  IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
