Pet Friendly Hotels in the Midlands?
« on: November 19, 2012, 06:11:26 PM »
I tried to do a search for this, but came up empty handed.

Has anyone had any good experiences with pet-friendly hotels in the Midlands?  We are relocating with a small dog and a cat, but we may not be able to get into our house straight away due to some woes with the boiler. Trying to come up with plan B, now.  Leicester-Nottingham-Derby area would be best, but we just want a good place. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, many Travel Lodge, some Premier Inns and I think the whole Ibis chain allow pets.

I stayed in an Ibis in Belgium on my way over from Switzerland to the UK with my two cats, and it was very straightforward.

We stayed at the IBIS by the Leicester train station and it allowed our cat.  We had to pay a surcharge if I remember correctly.

Try http://www.hotels.uk.com/index.html and after you pick the city, click "Pet Friendly" and it will give you a list.  The hotels that are  pet friendly are coded with a paw print.
