Entry to the UK via Eurostar?

I have been looking on here and have not seen a post on this, so if I am repeating myself, please forgive me.  I am coming to the UK on a spouse visa, but I want to visit Paris first.  Can I enter the UK via train from Paris for my first trip after getting my visa, or do I need to fly into the UK, or does it not matter how I enter the UK?

Why would it be an issue? You'll be going through immigration and will get stamped in.

Maybe you are thinking about the potential issues with arriving from Ireland?

I've arrived (as a tourist) to the UK by plane and by ferry and the immigration process was the same (except coming by ferry the IO queried me from their toll-booth thing while I was in the car).  They asked the same questions and I got the same entry stamp... I don't see why it would be different coming from Paris via EuroStar.  They still have to check everyone coming into the UK...

As Cali Girl said, the main problem with entering on a new visa is if you're coming from Ireland since they don't give entry stamps between Ireland and the UK.
