2013 Atlantic Airfares Eastbound to the UK

I'm looking for airfares for June and they seem high. The best I've seen is around $1300 round trip from Las Vegas to Manchester. Any suggestions?

I'd probably be patient and wait for a bit. Keep an eye on the fares and they'll probably eventually go down a little bit.

Maybe sign up for airfare alerts from kayak or airfarewatchdog, etc, as well.

I noticed that too when looking for our flight home in March.
Luckily I had enough miles with Untied so I'm using them, but the price I was finding was a good few 100's more than I paid last year for a similar trip to yours, LAX to EDI.
I expect that you've already tried using the flexible dates function when searching?

I've found having an account and alerts set up on http://www.yapta.com/ to be invaluable. You just tell it the route and days you want to travel, check off the options that you fancy (direct, one stop, two stops), then it'll update you weekly by email on fare prices and trends (although you can get up-to-the-minute results any time you log in).

I've tended to watch prices trend down, then book when they've gone down a few weeks in a row. They usually bounce back up after a down-trend period, in my experience.

Try www.kayak.com and www.skyscanner.com for flight comparisons. Also be prepared to make one or two stops to bring down the price.

I"m flying to the US this week and, by not flying direct to my destination and adding a couple of hours to the traveling time, I have saved a lot of $$.
