Usually when there's a bank holiday it's in our account before the 3rd. If not in by tomorrow, I shall not be amused, particularly if the exchange rate goes the 'wrong way'. Thankfully we aren't waiting for the money so we can eat, but I suspect some poor folk may be in that situation.

I called too, they said to expect it by end of day.

My daughter gets a small amount through me and my disability. Hers is direct deposit into an account in the US. It went in, later than normal (around 10am our time in the UK) but it did go in. It is weird because normally a bank holiday would mean we get it sooner...rather than later.

Ugh, that sucks! I was under the impression that having direct deposit was supposed to PREVENT this from happening. I just check my bank account and it not in my UK account yet. Close of business day is coming up...

I purposely did not change it to go into my UK bank account as I read that Uk bank holidays would delay the payments , BUT mine goes on the US Direct Express debit Card nothing to do with the UK .. I have never had a problem before .. this is first time ..
