Washer Recommendations?
« on: May 03, 2013, 06:36:17 PM »
We will probably purchase one next month and have looked at a lot of reviews on-line but I find that all the reviews here are generally good.  Any recommendations from you all?  We hope to spend 200-300 pounds.

I've had a Zanussi washing machine for 7 years now.  It is starting to show its age, but I use it daily.
When it finally dies I will replace it with either another Zanussi or a John Lewis model.

After checking them out on Which? magazine's website, we got a Bosch.  It does the job, and most importantly, it's quiet.  If I'm going to have a major appliance in my kitchen doing a job for an hour or so, I want it to do it quietly.

We recently bought a new Hotpoint washer, after reading reviews on the Which? website.  The choice came down to Bosch vs. Hotpoint and we went with the Hotpoint as we have a Hotpoint freezer and like it very much.  The new washing machine is amazingly quiet, and has a big variety of different options, including several choices of spin speeds.  We love it -- it's so much better than our old Whirlpool.

For that price range, which is usually where I go - after all as long as the clothes are clean what else is there for a washer to do! I'm happy with Indesit and our latest Beko - which was only because DW wanted a silver coloured one otherwise would have been another Indesit!
