Brooklyn NYC to Cornwall
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:41:04 AM »
Hi! I'm Heather, I married my wonderful husband in October and I'm not just waiting for my visa to move across to Cornwall. I'm really looking forward to finally living with my husband!

The visa process has been super stressful for me (that how's I found this site), I'm hoping it will be over soon!

I'm open to any tips for living in Cornwall and making new friends!

Where are you going in Cornwall, Heather? I'm just outside St. Ives. Let me know if you have any questions about life here!  :)

Hi Chary,

I'm going to be outside Truro. I'm really looking forward to it, I'm sure once I'm there I'll have million questions to ask!  :)

Welcome, Heather.  I don't live in Cornwall, but in Devon, the next county over.  We actually live in Plymouth about an hour from Truro, and go into Cornwall quite a bit. Both counties are gorgeous!  Good luck with your move! XX

Hi, wvgirl! For some reason, I always think of Plymouth as being really far away! We're about 30-45 minutes from Truro, so it's really only about a two-hour drive to get to you!

;D Chary.  No, we're not that far apart at all.  I suppose it can take a little longer to get down to you during the holidays when all the holidaymakers are travelling with their caravans.  Something that completely annoys my hubby.  I love living in the Westcountry, but sometimes it can feel a little "cut off" from the rest of England.  XX
