A Mini Farewell
« on: June 19, 2013, 12:40:10 PM »
So in less than 12 hours, I'm going to be boarding a plane to the Falkland Islands, where I will be working for the next 5 months (unfortunately it's the middle of winter there right now) :).

Due to the remoteness of the islands and the expense of technological services, I will have very little internet access while I'm there (just 100 minutes free personal Wi-Fi per week, plus some access at work, although I probably won't be able to do much more than check emails/facebook there)... which means I'm probably not going to be around on the UK-Y forum much, if at all, between tomorrow and late November :(.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up in case anyone starts wondering where I am :P.

Awwww - but what about our UKY weather updates?!  :-\\\\ :)

Hope you have a great & interesting time while you're there! Don't work too hard though.  :D

Just think - you'll get to have TWO winters this year...just like this past year (or was it the neverending winter?)...  ;) :P

Have an AMAZING time ksand! Say hello to the Rockhopper penguins for me if they are about - or even bring back a few in November!  :D
