It's just a two week contract, but I'm
really excited about it.

I'll be working at the Australian High Commission in London helping with the Australian Federal Elections.

I've applied for a few jobs there before and have been turned down, so maybe this will get my foot in the door for future jobs.

I think I'm most excited about the fact that I will have UK work experience to put on my CV now.

I'm totally not even thinking of the money.

Although that is a plus.

It's so draining to look for work and constantly be turned down, but I luckily spotted this one last week, filled out the short application in about half an hour (was nearly late for lunch with DH because I was so eager to get my application in) and a week later, I was offered the job.

Probably the easiest job I've applied for.

A one page application, no interview.... easy peasy.

I know after the two week contract I'll go back to looking for permanent work, but right now, 2 weeks is awesome!

Kind of like a holiday from job searching.

Good luck to those of you applying for jobs! I'll be right back with you in a few weeks.... with a bit more energy in my application, hopefully.

It's soooooo exhausting and frustrating.... I know.
