Hi everyone - just moved to Suffolk area of the UK and finally registered for the forums here. I am so thankful for this site!
I am a US military spouse and we have two daughters, ages 6 and 2. There are other sites aimed for the military aspect of moving overseas, however, this site has the expat life information that I can't wait to read more of.
My biggest concerns at the moment (only being in country for less than a week) is how to help kids adjust while being so busy with everything us grownups need to do (set up bank accts, register schools, search for housing etc), and also tips/tricks/advice on what to do first from those that have been there before.
I have always been interested in living in the UK since I was a child and I am so excited that I finally have the chance! We are towards the end of his career and if we find that we like it here as much as we think we will, we will be looking to possibly stay for much longer.
