I was very surprised this morning (Sunday!) when the postman knocked, carrying my UKY Secret Santa present! He got to see me in my bathrobe with hair all standing up just having rolled out of bed (although I was already awake).  :o

Well played Secret Santa, well played!!  ;D

I'm trying ever so hard to be good and not peek, but dear Santa, you must know that being good doesn't come easily for me...  :-[ :P ;)

Thank you ever so much, Secret Santa! Can't wait to see what it is!  :D

I've got a list of who's received their parcels:

barbara_g
Blondshania
bound4orkney
Courtney
Mrs Robinson
phatbeetle

PB, your lovely Secret Santa is a bit worried about how long it took for your package to arrive. Just to be sure it's your gift, can you open the outer envelope? It's wrapped! She's hoping it has not gone missing as she posted it first class quite a few days ago.  :)

And here's a list of who's gifts are on their way (but they may have arrived already!):

ksand24
Stephanie303
JennyEye

Remember the grand opening is Friday so if you haven't posted your gift yet, now is the time!

ETA: I've gotten word from another Secret Santa and chary's parcel will be in the post tomorrow and should arrive midweek!  :)

My present has arrived... in fact, it had already been delivered to my work before I flew to Ascension, but I wasn't in the office to pick it up until today :).

Well I am here to tell you that I had the BEST Secret Santa - one who really has been flying ALL over the world lately!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

When I told my DH that you'd most recently been to the Falkland Islands, he was sure that my Secret Santa gift was going to be a penguin! But then I said, no you're away to Ascension Island now, we thought maybe a Green Turtle or a feral donkey...

I just love love LOVED my homemade handmade sweets, ksand24 - the Scottish tablet, peppermint creams & the chocolate truffles!! Homemade gifts, and especially sweets, are my absolute favourite gifts!! I must confess that little box was opened the first day - last Sunday & I've been nom nom nom nomming them all week long. Alas, I am down to a single chocolate truffle remaining.  :D

However, I did save the little separately wrapped packages until today - so that's half-naughty, half-nice, I reckon! I love the extra choccies from M&S, AND my own little pot of Falkland Islands Diddle Dee Jam!  ;D  I kind of don't want to eat the jam, because I don't think I'll ever have Falkland Islands jam again. DH asked me what flavour it is & I said I'm not sure, so we decided it must be penguin flavoured!  :D

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Thank you so much! I hope you have a lovely Christmas too - wherever this message happens to find you! If in fact you are already on Ascension Island, well then I am terribly jealous of the hot hot weather you will be enjoying there - can we switch places, please?!  :-* ;D ;D ;D

Thank u secret santa for my lovely santa cath kidson mug. Funny enough I was going to buy
This exact mug!!  And I am so excited about trying the fortnum and mason coffee. What a treat. I have never had tea or coffe from there. So so exciting !!! Hubby and I made our first trip there about a month ago. Very pretty inside only bought a London bus ornament for the tree and we had lunch at Browns Hotel where WINSTON Churchill used to stay

Loved participating in secret santa. Wishing u all a merry Xmas and a happy 2014!!!

Those sound like great gifts too, Blondshania! Have you any clues of who your Secret Santa might be?

And yes - Merry Christmas to all of you, and the happiest of new years too!

And a HUGE THANKS again to TravelingFrog for organising & running our 2013 Secret Santa!!  ;D

I had a lovely Secret Santa present too - some Soap and Glory toiletries (very useful since there are only 2 shops on Ascension that sell toiletries and they often don't have much at all) and some chocolate coins! I've had to put the coins in the fridge because they'll go all soft and melty otherwise :P.

Thank you for my gift, bound4orkney :).

Well I am here to tell you that I had the BEST Secret Santa - one who really has been flying ALL over the world lately!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Glad you liked it :).

Great :). Actually I'm glad you did open it the first day because I was a bit worried about the shelf life of the sweets and that they wouldn't last until the 20th :).

I actually don't know the flavour either - I just know that Diddle Dee is one of the main plants on the islands. I saw the jam in a gift shop there (before the Secret Santa was announced) and decided to bring some back with me. Then when you mentioned local jams in your Secret Santa wishlist, I decided it would be perfect for your gift :P.

I am here on Ascension now - and it is lovely weather, but it's hard to feel festive when it's so warm here! It's very odd to be sunbathing on the beach in the afternoon and then going carol singing in the evening!

Yer killing me!!! So jealous. Sounds even more lovely than the years I spent Christmas in Florida - I mean I think it's even hotter where you are.  8)

Thank you again! I hope you had a nice visit home in between all your international jetsetting. I've decided that I want you to take Paul the Weatherman's place on Look North whenever he retires!  :)
