I'm Lisa--- originally from Texas-----been in the UK for a loooooooooooooooooooong time as my English hubby didn't like it there.

I live in Gloucestershire and work in the Health biz.

Kids grown. I have 6 greats.

Marriage is ending after 32 yrs----so am just jumping on THIS particular Welcome Wagon and sayin HOWDY!!

What are we all gonna do for Turkey day/night?

I am sorry to hear of your marriage ending after such a long time .. Make sure to take care of yourself !!
 I'm another long timer. I came to Scotland in 1999 on a work permit all on my own.. no relationship or anything.. Strictly for the experience as my Granny was a Scot.. moved to Massachusetts as a young person. Worke my way up the immigration ladder an have been a dual for many years now..

Thank you for your commiserations----- but ya know what? We produced 3 WONDERFUL kids and now have the blessing of THEIR kids------ So it certainly wasn't a complete waste of time------ and there will always be love there----- just no longer the matrimonial type as we are both just so DARN different!! 

I just can't decide whether to up sticks and return to the country of origin to my beloved sisters and Mom---- and of course all of those people I grew up with and know me so well.

I've been the outsider for over 30 yrs----- it will be different to NOT stand out----

I really must create a nice long Pros/Cons list-------------
