So i've been interviewing with a great company. Nice people. Pay, for the role and my experience was crap but i was going to take it with the caveat that they would re-evaluate based on my preformance. Great. I'd find out on Monday if i got the job, and i was the top runner.
YEsterday, after the final interview with said company i get a call from someone i met with for a first interview the previous day. Even bigger name in the biz. Good role. Kick ASS pay. Only problem was, they wouldn't be hiring the team until January 1 and there would be 2 months worth of interviews. I really liked this role, but couldn't wait that long.
Turns out, they want me on a contract basis, with an EXTREMELY high chance of perm employment. Essentially, they need to do their due dilligence but if i'm in the role, it's going well and everyone likes me (as the hr person had an inkling) i'd be in the role. I went in today for a conference call with the head of sales and marketing and they offered me the role, on a contract basis making a freaking awesome daily wage. More than i could imagine. They may keep me at contract and then move me to perm for 3 weeks, 3 months, who knows, but the thing is.....i am so excited!!!
Worst case scenario, I don't get the perm role and i'm back in the UK marketplace with UK experience and i'm much more expensive....and employable. Best case scenario, i'm in a role where I can grow with a leading company making an awesome salary and being completely happy.
I'm not sure it gets any sweeter than this! I sign papers tomorrow once the sign off is complete, and i believe i start next week.
