A UK substitute for Wheaties?
« on: January 29, 2014, 07:18:45 AM »
Yes, I know--cardboard.

But my kids had some Wheaties when grandpa visited and brought a couple boxes over, and now they are demanding more of them but I don't see them that often.

Is there some UK-cereal that tastes like Wheaties or is similar enough I could pass them off as the Breakfast of Champions? I'm in Hong Kong now but we have basically all the major UK breakfast cereals on offer (and plenty of American ones too) but no Wheaties that I can find.

Sorry to bump and answer my own thread but maybe someone will find this on Google one day.

Had a bowl of Waitrose Wholegrain Bran Flakes. Was pretty darn close, though more bran and less wheat than Wheaties. Still trying to find something closer.

Have you tried Weetabix Weetaflakes they are really nice I think they similar to what you are looking for. I can only find it in Pound Land or the 99P store these days though. Good luck with your search!! :)  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
