Afternoon!

Afternoon All...

Newbie to this forum but just about to start the process of applying for visas and getting down to the details of all the legal jargon so hoping to make some new friends in the same boat or ones that have done it already since the changes last year to seek their wisdom and advice!

:)

Welcome to the forum! For what visa will you be applying?  You will get a lot of great advice and help on this forum. There are a few very knowledgeable people on here.
British Citizenship approval: May 2016
Ceremony: July 2016

She couldn't help thinking that there was a little more to life, somewhere else.
After all it was a great big world, with lots of places to run to.
And if she had to die trying she had one little promise she was gonna keep.

Hi Fallgal

Thank you for the welcome.. we will be applying for fiance/spouse visa depending  on whether we decide to get married here (UK) or there (US).. only thing that scares me is the financial element as thats the only part I think they could refuse us on  :-\\\\ .. but fingers crossed, I have read so much my head spins somedays and I begin to doubt my own understanding of it but we will get there.. eventually LOL

Best of luck to you! I came here on a fiancee visa in 2011.  Post your questions or concerns in the visa forum and I'm sure one of the visa know-it-alls (I say this with the utmost respect!) will be along to help. :)

Welcome aboard! Enjoy your journey, and remember to breathe as you swim through the legal jargon.  ;D A lot of it seems stressful, but when you look back from the other end of the process, you will realize it wasn't so bad. Well, you will be so relieved it is over, it won't seem so bad.

LOL I do hope you're all right, it seems a lil daunting but have been browsing the forums already and seen some great advice. I certainly do have lots of questions but I think for the most part I know the answers I just want someone to tell me Im not going completly mad as it sometimes feels I am going round in cricles!

I have been reading so much parts of it seem to contradict other parts and Im not sure if im imagining it or just over loaded trying to understand it all .. are they trying to trip us up? LOL
