Ohio to North Kensington

Hello everyone!

My name is Sarah and I moved to London because I got married. I moved just over a year ago and probably should of joined this site back then. I still don't really know anyone here so it would be nice to feel more involved in London life. I was going to the gym 3-5 days a week for 4-6 hours. I am hoping to find some other things to do in London to meet people and make friends as I really feel like an outsider here.

I have been temping on and off but would really like a full time job. I am looking for a job in reception so if anyone knows an opening please let me know. I didn't think I would be out of work so long.

Any advice would be great! I checked out the job section and found some new websites. But I feel everyone gets their jobs from who they know here. I don't have much work experience so I am needing all of the help I can get.

Other than that I am friendly and outgoing. I like to play sports rather than watch them on tv. I have an xbox one but I am starting to find it boring as nobody else I know has it to play any of the games with me.

Just wanted to say hello, as I also have Ohio roots, though lived in California and Japan most recently. Where in Ohio are you from? I don't live in London or go down there often, but I hope you can make some good connections here and in person and feel more at home.

Hi welcome I'm from Toledo and married to a Brit. It's a tough job market at the
Moment.  4-6 hours inthe gym that's impressive !!! I did a few coach trips when
I first arrived in the UK. Loved the history and sight seeing !!!
