Pardon me while I shamelessly plug away.
I'm a member of a group on Meetup for expats in the Hampshire/Wiltshire/Dorset area. We originated in Hampshire but have expanded a bit to cater to more of the members. Lots of meetups are in Salisbury (where my husband [the UKC] and I [the USC] live), but we do have members who attend and are living in the Basingstoke area. Salisbury sort of ended up being the 'mid-point' for most of the meetups, though we do sometimes have events elsewhere and are always open to suggestions.
I digress...
