Hello!!!
« on: October 28, 2014, 04:31:19 AM »
Hello Everyone!!!

Finally joined the forum, after reading many posts over the last few weeks, and thought I would just say 'Hi'. I'm in the US and husband is in the UK working, looking at applying for settlement visa in March of next year. I have already learned lots just going thru older posts, but I'm sure I will have questions as the time gets closer  ;).

I'm so glad I found this forum!!!

Welcome!

We're always happy to help. *grins* The older threads are so useful, I read through a lot of them when I was new too!

Whereabouts in the UK are you going to end up?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Welcome. :D

Be careful reading through old posts. The rule of thumb is anything older than 6 months is outdated. ;)

Thank you.

I will be moving to York. I must admit I'm excited but also a little nervous.  I think the time will start to fly by now and I'm trying not to wait until the last minute to get everything ready.

I live in York! It is amazing. There is loads to see and do, but it is not as anonymous as somewhere bigger like Leeds or London.

If you do make it over at some point, hit me up for a coffee! I don't get to see many 'Mericans round here.
