I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Don't you have to have this thing called "sun" for a solar eclipse?

I predict that tomorrow morning the very light of the sun shall be extinguished and all of Scotland shall be plunged into the darkness of night!!!!!

My OH and I and a dozen or so of our friends have taken the day off work tomorrow... they'll all be descending upon our flat in Helensburgh, walking down to the pier to 'watch' the eclipse, and then going to Wetherspoons for breakfast.  Afterward, it's back to our flat to demolish a 30 litre barrel of Andechs Spezial Hell and 2 crates of Tegernsee Spezial Hell.   :)

Yep, although it was very overcast (and fairly pollution ridden) we did manage to see a teeny tiny bit of it through a break in the clouds!!  Glad I got a chance to see something at least.
