Yet another London Neighborhood advice posting!
« on: December 12, 2014, 08:16:20 PM »
Relocating to London and looking for neighborhood advice:

- 2 bedroom furnished flat
- budget is  £2750 pcm
- my office is in Southwark between the Waterloo and London Bridge stations
- would like a sub 45 minute commute
- Just my wife and I (empty nesters) and we like short walks to restaurants, pub, park and like a neighborhood with a somewhat lively vibe

Suggestions? Favorite neighborhoods?

thanks! (this forum is great)

Have you looked into Greenwich or Blackheath? Just near the massive Greenwich park, you have a little more of a village feel with local pubs and restaurants, but you're only a short train journey into London Bridge.

Although I'm taking your budget as being rent only. If that's your total budget including transport, etc. you may need to look a little further out.
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Hi Elle!  No, I have been focusing more on North London.  I seem to be coming around to St. Johns Wood and Maida Vale areas.
