Bit of a break from UK-Y
« on: January 16, 2015, 12:38:55 PM »
Hi everyone,

Wasn’t sure where to post this, so it’s going in Welcome Wagon :).

Just to let you know that I may not be around on the forum much in the next 4 months.

I’m down in the Falkland Islands until May with very limited internet access, which is very slow and expensive. I get a free 100 minutes per week WiFi access in my room (but it hardly ever works) then it costs me £10 for every extra 100 minutes. I can access the internet for 45 minutes a day in the public computer room, or for a few hours in the office 2 nights a week – but that’s all!

I may just be able to get online long enough to read through new threads, but I can’t always post replies to them, so if I don’t get back to anyone for a while, it’s because I can’t actually get online to do it :(.

Enjoy your time away! I think I would miss the net, but enjoy the break at the same tine. There is something so freeing about knowing you can't/don't have to see what is going on with everyone every five minutes.

Everyone has said it so well already, but it's so true.  You will be missed!

Enjoy the time you have away from the internet as much as possible, and we'll be here to welcome you back with open arms....   [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif] [smiley=balloon.gif]

.... and likely a great heap of questions as well!   ;D

Ooo, the Falklands!  What an adventure!  Best of luck with everything.  We will miss you.  Thanks for all of the help.  Hope things go better for you than they did for Clarkson, May, and Hammond.   :P  But, seriously, enjoy your time away!

What an adventure!!! Enjoy your time. And yes you will be missed on here.

I'm just glad I asked my questions when I did, to apply for my spousal visa in March.

Best of luck!!!

Room for two?  ;)

Seriously, hope all is well, and you have a lovely time (well, as much as possible with work I'm assuming!).
