Everybody still afloat up there?
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I'm wondering the same, and hoping everyone is okay.  This area - around Newcastle upon Tyne - only had minor street type flooding that I could see, but west of here has been just awful.   :\\\'(

Yep...I already knew I didn't want to live right next to the water.....or where it floods pretty well every year (York). Anything low lying was in trouble though. My wife's daughter is a nurse in Leeds and just barely made it home last night, they had closed a lot of the bridges etc and wouldn't let traffic back towards Leeds. She made it to work this morning since it hadn't rained overnight. These last 2 months have been as wet as I have ever seen it. I'm ready for some cold weather.

I have been following this disaster because of having so many friends in the UK. We were in the UK until the 13th, but we weren't in a flooded area, despite being in several areas. There are parts of Blackburn (hubby's hometown) with flooding this week, but I know so many areas are far worse off.

My heart is with everyone affected.
