More music "royalty" gone too soon
« on: April 22, 2016, 01:50:14 PM »
I was really saddened to hear about Prince's passing yesterday. I can't even say I was a huge fan but I definitely appreciate his creativity and influence on the music industry.

2016 has not been kind so far!

I really like Prince's music. And it seems like a rarity to be able to record (much less write, produce and play the instruments on) even say a handful of hits. He's got a dozen or so bonafide enduring classics. And he wrote and produced almost everything for Morris Day, and Sheila E and Vanity...all of it very original.

I never knew up until recently how well he played guitar...in that sort of effortless insouciant way every guitarist wants to play.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC
