Allowed in suitcase

Hi All,

I will be visiting family back in Texas at the end of the month and want to take some things (foods) back for them. I know meat, cheese, seeds, plants of any kind aren't allowed but I'd like to take back chocolate (No kinder eggs) maybe some Nando's packets that they sell in Tesco but anything not mentioned above that Im not allowed?

I'm visiting my father in late May; already loaded up on the Cadburys chocolates that everyone in the US loves, plus some shortbread biscuits.

As KFDancer said, "pack away" - it's common sense really; every time I go through customs in the US they ask what I've brought, and I just say "candy and cookies" - never an issue.

ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000

Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

when I go, "candy and cookies" is everything  ;D

 I just don't bother saying "4 plastic containers of Cadburys Roses net weight 518 grams each, excluding wraps plus 3 boxes of Paterson's shortbread fingers each weighing 380 grams".

I always feel weird saying 20 boxes of macaroni and cheese.
