I found something online in the US that I've been after for ages but the store won't ship to the UK.

I have heard of services which provide you with a US address and send your package on to you in the UK.

Has anyone tried this sort of thing?

I usually have it sent to my mom and ask her take the time and use my US debit card to pay for shipping. I don't do it very often though as I know it's a right pain.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Hi

I've had this link saved for quite some time but never had to use it as I'm able to import products I need easily.

http://www.bundlebox.com/

I think there are other services, I vaguely recall Amazon offering something but I could be totally wrong on that.

If you can have a relative or trusted friend send it across that's also a good way of doing things and will perhaps cost you a bottle of wine when you next visit them !

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!

Thanks lyonaria. I do have a cousin in Colorado but I don't really feel that I could hit her up for something like that, even though she would probably be happy to help.... maybe I should just ask her though.

Mums are the best!  :)

Thanks DtM, that's just the kind of thing I was looking at. I had found a couple of others and read reviews on Trust Pilot which for both were really mixed, a lot of 5 stars and 1 star and not much in between.

I think it's going to boil down to how much I really want this thing, whether I take the chance with one of these companies or not!

I'm flying to the US to visit relatives next Saturday (6th) so if you want, you could always have it shipped to the address I'm staying at (my aunt's) and I can bring it back for you (I'll be back August Bank Holiday weekend).
