Thanks, hopefully I can find them around here. Any suggestions for something other than saltines for morning sickness? I have been stuffing digestives in my mouth but they just aren't quite as effective. I just want something to stop the nausea, or at least stave it off.  :P

Sea Bands.  They're accupressure bands you wear around your wrists.  Get them at Boots.  They don't work completely but they take the edge off.  Also, don't let your stomach stay empty.  Have a biscuit as soon as you wake up.  Best of luck, I had epic morning sickness with my first and last.  :P

I used those during my first pregnancy.  I think, for me, anyway, the effect was more psychological than physical but it was better than nothing. I will have to dig them up, along with the rest of my pregnancy stuff that's up in the eaves somewhere. Thanks for the other tips. I've gotten a bag of snack size boxes of Sunmaid raisins and those are great for keeping my iron up. I guess I will have to move the digestives to my nightstand until I find some salty crackers at the shop! :)

Sorry I'm no help when it comes to helping you find the saltine crackers....but I know several people who swear by ginger for morning sickness. They say if you eat a ginger cookie or drink some ginger ale before you get up it really helps settle your stomach. It comes in capsules too.

I was so sick when pregnant with my first son I ate saltine crackers in the mornings just so I would have something to throw up rather than just stomach acid. [smiley=sick.gif]

I hope the morning sickness passes soon and you're feeling better. :)

Stella:

Have you tried Matzo crackers?  They are a kosher or parve cracker, sorry I can't remember which, that are very good and have cured my cravings for saltines.  Sorry, I am not pregnant but I still have cravings. ;D  I found them at Sainsbury's in Sprucefield and they are in the cracker section of the store.  They only have two ingredients:  wheat flour and water.  It may help, I do not know.  I was lucky I never had morning sickness with my daughter,  22 years ago.  OMG, I am old.  Hope this helps you.

I further suggest the ginger idea - I use ginger tea and candied ginger for several things...nausea and also keeping cold symptoms at bay.  You can get candied ginger in any health food store!

I have some sushi ginger in the cupboard, I may try that. Meanwhile I picked up some TUC crackers, they aren't saltines, a little closer to Ritz but not as thick. They are working for the moment. Jacob's cream crackers need salt. Hadn't thought of Matzo crackers but next time I am doing to grocery shopping I will be looking for ginger snaps and Matzo, along with all the crackers. And I am craving olives. And cheese.

I love that they call them Matzo crackers!!!!

Stella Marie, If you want I can post you a box of mine.  My mother brought me two, and I have no use for them yet.  She can always send more if I needed!!!!  Let me know!  You can PM me your details.

Stella:

The matzo crackers are sort of like the Jacobs Cream crackers as they do not have salt.  But, they are thinner and crispier than Jacobs, so they may still help you.  Congratulations to you BTW!  I have forgotten long ago what it was like to have cravings while I was pregnant.  The only two cravings that I can remember were chili dogs and taco bell bean burritos.  To this day, I can not eat either one.

Oh, those were the days.  Have you tried tesco's for saltines?  I thought  I recalled reading either here or AE that tesco's had saltines.  Maybe I just dreamed that one up though.   ::)
