I almost posted this in the Parenting forum, but decided that wasn't quite right - hopefully this forum is.
I've made one of those quilted fabric advent calendars for my granddaughter's first Christmas (she will be 10 months old then) and would like to put daily "gifts" in each of the little pockets before I pack it up to send. She lives in California with my daughter and son-in-law, and, of course, I am here in the UK, so I don't want to end up spending a fortune on shipping. As she's too young for sweets, I thought putting a slip of paper in each pocket with a fun activity for the day might work well.
So far I've come up with things like...
Tummy tickles
Hide (steal?) her nose
Flying angel (Do other families do this - baby lays on shins while adult "flys" her around? Best not done right after eating.....

)
Playing little piggy, patty cake and such
The idea is to make it fun and easy for my daughter and something my granddaughter might catch on as connected with a daily visit to the advent calendar to see what Grammie "gave" that day. Not sure if she'll catch on or not, but as she is the most brilliant child ever born... I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Now, I need ideas from all you current and recent parents who can tell me what might be fun for my daughter to "give" in my name and what would be a burden for her (want to avoid those!). Hopefully my question makes sense, and I'm really looking forward to getting your feedback!
