Life Insurance
« on: October 21, 2016, 12:15:58 PM »
Hi All,

My wife and I are trying to get a life insurance policy for the both of us however we are having trouble. I tried to setup a policy via Aegon and after six months or messing around they have just told us we are not eligible due to the fact that we are US tax payers...

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Thanks,

No.  I bought life insurance a few years ago and where I paid taxes was not an issue.

Have you looked on moneysupermarket.com?   It's a comparison site that should help you find something

I also can't understand why this is an issue...Do life insurance policies fall under FACTA?

The only thing I can think of is if the life insurance policy was one that generates interest.  If it's just a straight-forward term life insurance policy, it should be a non-issue.
