Christmas present for a special someone
« on: December 04, 2016, 08:49:30 AM »
Anyone up for chipping in to get ksand24 a Christmas present this year? Or Christmas £££? Thought about this for the last couple of years but never acted on it.
She's done so much for so many of us (along with many other helpers, to be sure, but I think we'd all agree that ksand24 has gone above and beyond for years now) and a fiver from each of us would go a long way.
Discuss.
Sept 2001 - June 2006: studied at the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde
Aug 2010 - Dec 2010: in UK on holiday visa
Jan 2011: issued fiancée visa
July 2011: issued FLR(M)
March 2012: DD1
June 2013: issued ILR
November 2013: DD2

Isn't she in the Antarctic?  Might make shipping difficult.

So maybe a gofundme page or something. I'm surprised this site doesn't have a voluntary donation or premium member function.

Yeah, I was thinking a gofundme or something similar. Can set one up if there is interest. Happy to Facebook friend anyone who's worried I'm super dodgy.

There is a subscription option on UK Yankee:
http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?action=profile;area=subscriptions;u=15465
£15 a year to be a supporter and £1 a year to be verified (both of which ksand24 has done herself) :)

But that's a bit different than a gift specifically for ksand24 since she's a user (and a darn good one) but she doesn't run the UK Yankee forum.
July 2012 - Fiancée Visa | Nov 2012 - Married
Dec 2012 - FLR | Nov 2014 - ILR | Dec 2015 - UK Citizen

I trust you!  :D

Do we have any others interested?
