Bank Statements-Payslips
« on: February 19, 2017, 09:30:54 PM »
Hello All, I am sending my docs on Tuesday 21st feb after my biometric appointment.

I am arranging 6 months bank statements and pay slips for Category-A. I have latest pay slip for 10th February 2017 but corresponding bank statement is not available yet because it runs from 29th january- 28 february.

My question is, should I include pay slip from 10th February or not?

Please help to clarify this. Thank you

Yes, you need to include it as the prior payslip would be more than 28 days old.

If you go to your bank and request the latest transactions to be printed to submit with a visa application, they will.

So, a trip to the bank solves all problems.

Thank you KFdancer. The bank statement is of my husband in UK and I am sending it from US on this Tuesday. Would it be ok if I explain about bank statement on my Cover later?

Can he get the bank to print the up to date statement,  stamp it then express mail it to you? I honestly think it would be best to have it.

You have to have a corresponding bank statement for each pay slip. A letter if explanation will not be adequate.  You should reschedule your biometrics and as stated, get the bank to print recent transactions and verify it.

This is what FM-SE says:

2. In respect of salaried employment in the UK (except where paragraph 9 applies), all of the following evidence must be provided:
(a) Payslips covering:
(i) a period of 6 months prior to the date of application if the person has been employed by their current employer for at least 6 months (and where paragraph 13(b) of this Appendix does not apply); or
(ii) any period of salaried employment in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application if the person has been employed by their current employer for less than 6 months (or at least 6 months but the person does not rely on paragraph 13(a) of this Appendix), or in the financial year(s) relied upon by a self-employed person.

(b) A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips at paragraph 2(a) confirming:
(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

(c) Personal bank statements corresponding to the same period(s) as the payslips at paragraph 2(a), showing that the salary has been paid into an account in the name of the person or in the name of the person and their partner jointly.

My online application submission date is 15th February. Would it be ok if I reschedule my biometric from Feb 21st to few days after? So I have few days to get statement in mail?

I wish I have realized this before I submit my application. Now I am panicking.

Don't panic. Just reschedule biometrics and get your documents sorted. Just keep an eye on your 28 day financial documents so you don't go over the time limit.

Totally agree.  Don't panic but DO change the date.  As the payslips and statements are firm requirements.

You could overnight your items to your fiancé and then have him add in the stamped statement and he sends the whole package from the UK.  Just be sure to use FedEx or UPS and not USPS.

I think I should change my biometric appointment from Feb 21 to Feb 27 which will give me one week. Meantime, My husband can go to his bank and get the statement and mail it to me for next day delivery. Hopefully, I have it before my Feb 27th. Then I can mail all doc right after my biometric.

To change Biometric, I just click on "Update appointment" then select same location, different date and time right?

please guide how to change biometric appointment? thank you

Just to say it again, make sure he sends it to you by UPS or DHL ONLY.

If he sends it overnight, or 3 day post by parcelforce it can take a ridiculous amount of time. My husband sent me documents by 3 day parcelforce and it took over 2 weeks to be delivered.

Only use international couriers like UPS, DHL or FedEx.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
