We were given this advice from our lawyer. Sad I didn't know of UKY when we did my first visa. I think I sent everything short of DNA samples lol. My package sent to Sheffield weighed something along the lines of 45 pounds? I'm amazed we got approved looking back.

Omg!! 45 pounds!! Why do solicitors give such bad advice?? And I totally get that people want to get it right, it is costly. I was just having a bad day yesterday. This wasn't meant to judge anyone

There is very little one has to do to "qualify" as an immigration advisor.  And most just have everyone send everything instead of tailoring the application to the visa type, client, and country of application.  Sadly we've seen many solicitors directly cause members of this board to get refusals (having them apply for the wrong application, etc.).  That's why we are very picky in who we recommend.  The ones we recommend are not cheap, but they are good.

Wow, that's crazy heavy!

If you use VFS Global shipping labels, they have a 5lb limit on packages to Sheffield... and even that is on the heavy side .

Most settlement applications should not need to weigh more than 2-3 lbs max.
