im karen, nice to meet all of you.
just found this site a couple of days ago and have been hooked since!

im from arizona. my boyfriend lives in the uk (wigan, to  be specific). we met online about four years ago and plan to get married within this next year. so, i am soon to be an expat! and am excited to finally end the long distance, of course.

i actually have yet to visit him in england, but i will be there for the first time in one week! im sure i will love it. though, i dont think im prepared for the cold!! we have trips to paris and london planned. (seeing elton john and morrissey live in london! should be fun)

anyways, awesome community you have going here. im sure i will become a frequent visitor, and perpetual annoyance with all of my questions!

Hi Karen,bring plenty of warm clothes,we had friends over last year from Arizona during the heatwave and they couldn't get warm.

Welcome...definitely bring a big ol umbrella and warm weather wear as it's beginning to get cold here in London (though not too bad compared to my last year's experience in Boston).  The one big change will also be how dark it gets at such an early hour...but London is such a great city that I think most of us can overlook that!  Have fun!
