Well-in fairness I had been on their case for 4 weeks but they wouldn't help me until the MP was finally able to get in touch w someone today. They STILL wont own up and tell me it's lost. MP is pressing them so we can speed things up. Totally disgraceful-I've been trying to rectify this for weeks to no avail

My money's on the fact that they sent your passport back to someone else... ::)

I don't even know how I would feel about that.  You'd think that if you received someone's passport on accident, you'd call anyone and everyone to get rid of it.

Then again, they probably did, but the enquiry line probably didn't have a scripted line to be able to advise them.   ;)

I've been saying that they sent  it to someone else for weeks now. And now that it's  been so Long, my identity is compromised. INSANE
And since they make it impossible to contact them, who would spend the money to contact them and tell them? THis is all going to be part of my complaint email....

Suggest that they also waive your FLR fee (when the time comes) as compensation...

Maren, I'm so sorry this has happened, but at least there is an acknowledgement that something went wrong and a way forward.  I just hope they didn't lose your original documents, too.  So infuriating that they kept telling you it was normal.  My decision email was June 1, but my letter was dated May 30, so that means it was 2 days to finish processing- not weeks.

As a victim myself, of a clerical error, that I truly felt was just covered up, I feel for you.  And the added expenses cost us dearly, so I do hope they refund your money.  I guess I will always wonder if the Pakistani couple in my refusal letter got an approval that was intended for me, and I got a refusal that was intended for them.

Bottom line is that it doesn't happen often, but when they do make a mistake, it can be a real doozy with serious ramifications.
