We are exempt, and I have all of the needed documents that you've stated. I do appreciate the heads up, but I have added a contents letter for them to reference as it's in order by what's in the stack.

I'll explain a bit. I made an error on my father's birthday, so the only evidence I have of his correct birthday is my birth certificate. Council tax for proof that his Nan lives at the address. Photos with in law's is proof that my son has strong ties there, proving the move is in his best interest as he's not my husband's biological child. Mother in law's bank statements also have her address on them, proving she lives at the property. Also, any mother could claim to pay something to help their child, so I figure it's best to add proof lol.

I've wrapped it all in brown paper and tied a string around to close it so that everything stays in place, stays safe in the post, and looks nice.

We included a lot of paperwork/info that would be deemed irrelevant/not able to be considered on this board, too. We had special circumstances and were instructed by our lawyer to do so. Just be careful not to put paperwork into a binder, have it very clearly labeled, and have things easy to find.

Thank you AV. every letter has a header, contents letter has all paperwork that's in there in order from how I've added it. I put that under priority receipts, so it's the 3rd paper in. I've crossed my t's and dotted my i's on this. I've always been a firm believer on "it's better to add a bit too much than not enough" because that way, no question is left unanswered. The organization I put into this is crazy, now if only my life was this organized lol

Not sure what you mean by your case being complex - if you are exempt from the financial requirement, that makes your case more straightforward than normal.

If you made an error on your Dad's birthday on the application form, just correct it in pen when it's printed. No need to include your birth certificate (I doubt they'd even check his birthdate - you only give their details to show you aren't already British).

They cannot consider photos with in-laws anyway so they will be ignored. All you need is proof your son is yours (his birth certificate) and that you have sole custody/responsibility for him. His ties to your husband are irrelevant for the visa... you need to show instead that his biological father has no objection to him moving - either by way of a sole custody agreement or a letter from his father giving you permission to move his son out of the country.

You don't need to prove that mother in law lives in the property - because she will state that in her letter, and the Land Registry shows she owns it... so her bank statements are irrelevant and won't be looked at.

Why do you need to prove his nan lives at the address? That's not part of the requirements. All he has to show is that he receives the Carer's Allowance from the government.

All that matters is that your marriage certificate is legal and valid - the size of the ceremony is irrelevant... so witness signatures will not be looked at.

"Settlement Priority Processing" only actually needs to be written on the outermost envelope, so that it is easily seen immediately upon arriving in Sheffield, before it is opened.

Mine a my husband's relationship goes back to 2006, when we were 14 and 15, albeit just friends, but we've added conversations from those times and through the years, then snippets from when we started dating in 2014 till now, so we added quite a few pages of conversation, most showing calls, but since with a bit of conversation in them because we thought it best regardless.

I think this is bad advice ... you should show at least a snippet of the conversation to show there was actual conversing going on!
