I did ask general questions, but as far a specifics and specific brands, I figured it'd be easier to just search and see what works out. Plus, I didn't want to stress him out with too much English. 

I think I'll just use a wax. That's what he put in my hair and it wasn't too bad (I'm not usually one for having any product in my hair). Any suggestions?

It's been a long time since I had a pixie cut but I liked bb products.  I used their styling cream.  My hair definitely looked better when I put product in it.  A little went a long way!  A bottle lasted forever.

Styling products wise, I do recommend bb products. I have used them on my short hair and my super long hair, and they're awesome! bb isn't cruelty-free though so I don't know if that has any bearing on your beauty regime choices.
