There's also an app for your phone that's good, if you have a smartphone. It's really helped me with my studying.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Good luck!! I crashed studied for about a month or two, probably not the best way but it's done.

I second lyonaria, find a good app or online quiz. Mixing this with the book really helped :)

If you can try to YouTube videos of the hazard perception. One of them that I watched was the exact one from my test.

Confession (because I don't know if we were supposed to keep it a secret what we each put in the box):  I used the DVD set that Rick now has.  The hazard perception prep one has all the video clips from the test bank.  I swear they were the exact same ones, or very similar, to the official test.  Anyway, I got 68 points out of 75 on that part, and you only need 44 to pass.  I got 48 out of 50 on the multiple choice questions.  I only used those DVDs to prepare, and I only needed one attempt at the test.

It's the driving test I'm the most concerned about, I'll definitely have a lesson or 3....sure don't want to do it twice.

I had three longer sessions (my instructor usually does 1-hour sessions, but I'm a bit rural, so it was more cost-effective for her and beneficial for me to do three 2-hour sessions rather than six 1-hour lessons because I spent so long just driving to busier areas to practice traffic flow), and passed in one attempt.  I did have 4 minors, though.  But I asked, and you're allowed to have a surprising number of minor faults (up to 15?) and still pass.

Historyenne and brenzie.....please take your time. I'm away in a much needed holiday on Saturday and won't be back until the 13th, so no rush on posting to me, or else it will be stuck in the mail centre.....

15 minors but if it's 3 of the same it's a major.

That's impressive first time pass!! I think I passed (second time /really third but one time there was a fault with my instructors car) with five minors.  And I took many lessons ;D I just couldn't get comfortable with manual.

I bought automatic and you'd think I was driving years here.

Just be relaxed as much as possible. If you drive before just bring that experience to the table. The few examiners I had were all super nice and probably let a few things slide. ;)

I drove manual back home, so the only adjustment I had was shifting left-handed.  That is still weird to me!  But I prefer manual, and I will eventually not even remember that I used to do it the other way.  Maybe.  :P

I haven't taken a driving test since I was 16!! I'm driving for work now so I'm trying to drive the way it's done here. I'm sure I'll be fine but relaxed? Hmmmm maybe!

The thing that helped me relax was driving lessons, having the instructor in the car with me.  Having those hours of driving-while-being-judged made the test just another day in the car.  Lessons are really helpful!
