I’m going to be in America for Christmas so if it’s my turn when that time comes I’m going to have to be skipped

I feel like, at the pace we've been going lately, you'll be back from America before your turn.   :)

I was wondering what happened! I made a few cute things to add. :)

Just curious, would anyone like things like crocheted bar soap savers and makeup remover pads? They are expensive in the "plastic free" shops and super easy to make, and I have lots of cotton yarn.

exr0se, no apologies!  This thread would be 100 pages of us apologizing to each other if we were held accountable for how long we held the parcel!

Margo, I don't use bar soap or makeup, but I appreciate the use of cotton yarn (I still can't figure out how to find cotton yarn, versus wool, to which I am allergic, or acrylic, which is plastic).

Wool warehouse sells some! I also get it from Hobbii. You just have to check the content as some are cotton and acrylic blends. But, the environmental impact of cotton, linen and bamboo yarn isn't as small as I'd like and I have sensitive skin, so for clothing I do still use cotton/acrylic blends. I can't use wool at all, too scratchy and hurts my hands to work with even the softest types.

Oh!  Thanks for dropping "Wool Warehouse"... I'd previously searched online for yarn and kept finding shops that were terrible at describing the products, but Wool Warehouse is very clear about what the fibers are, and you can filter by virtually every characteristic.  Thanks!

Parcel has arrived :) Will probably take a week or two to put it back in the mail.

*edit - AshleyM is next and already sent her address. So on top of things I forgot I had it!

Thanks! I need to post a pic of what I kept. Glad Margo received!

Hey JFKimberly,

All yarn in the UK is called wool, no matter what fibre it actually is made from. They don't call it yarn over here. Haha.

Love crafts, wool warehouse, hobbii, Amazon are all places you can get cotton wool/yarn. What are you looking for? A DK, Aran, Worsted?

Love crafts is an American website that has British warehouses as well.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I have it! I've messaged AshleyM to make sure I have the correct address. Sorry. Xmas and new job and sick meant it went in a corner and I forgot about it for a while.

So, are we going to do another round of pass-the-parcel?

If so, put me on the list. (And I hope whoever gets it next likes Mexican peppers!)
