Hello to you!! Been here 6 months (Florida to U.K)

Official tour of duty started December 1, 2016. *1st thing to get used to is the backward (to Americans) dating they do: 1st of December 2016....makes no sense.

I'm the Director of International Claims for a global company. Live (by mistake) in Harrow but have a nice 9th floor PH right by the tube (train) station.

Looking to see if anyone:
*knows of "American hangouts" - socialize, shop, etc.
*What are the nice/decent areas to live in West London?
*Are there any 'single' family home areas? Everything looks like a duplex

I honestly can't think of a place that Americans go to hang out with each other in real life.  Not sure I'd want to be there anyway with the current terrorist scares going on. 

I live in Twickenham , next to Richmond and it is a lovely leafy suburb with a great riverside.  Richmond is more posh, both are less city like and have a great riverside.  There's plenty of single houses if you've got the cash.  Mick Jagger could be your neighbor on Richmond hill. 

Hi...thanks. I actually went to a pub in Richmond. Met up with a co-worker who lives in Reading. I'll definitely have to get to Twickenham (heard of it) and Richmond again and just walk around I suppose. Harrow is very convenient location-wise but I spend little to no time there.

Love Clearwater...used to hang out on Clearwater Beach all the time. Ate my way to the beach on Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. 

Miss Orlando/Kissimmee...worked in Winter Park too....A law firm near I-4

So far so good. I run my company's European operation so I travel to other countries quite a bit but when I'm here....it's a nice place to be temporarily!
