How long is my visa valid for?

Hello!

So I just received my tier 4 student visa (yay!) but on the actual visa, it says valid from the 25th of August until the 24th of November, both with the years 2017. How do I get back next year, I thought it was a 4 year thing, so I am just confused because no where on it does it say valid until 2021! Any insight is appreciated

Your visa sticker in your passport should only be valid for 30 days - just for one entry into the UK.

Then once you enter the Uk you have 10 days to pick up your BRP card from a designated UK Post Office... this will be your actual visa.

Did you get a letter with your visa stating how and when you need to pick up your BRP card?

Also, are you sure your visa is valid for 3 months and not 30 days? It should say: 25/08/2017 to 24/09/2017

Oh sorry, I did mean September and not November!! And that makes MUCH more sense, thank you very much!! I 100% forgot about the BRP!

Your BRP will have the end date of your stay (which I believe appeared on the back of mine). Mine was dated for a couple months after my final end of term/actually dated for my graduation.

Yeah, it be valid for the following length of time:
- for a course lasting more than 12 months it will be valid for the full length of the course plus 4 months
- for a course lasting between 6 and 12 months it will be valid for the full length of the course plus 2 months
- for a course lasting less than 6 months, it will be valid for the full length of the course plus 7 days
