Wasn't sure where to post this. Note that we're in Scotland. I will be doing research, but am feeling lazy this morning and thought I'd see if anyone here knew anything about this.
I have a valid American will drawn up in our home State, which leaves everything to my daughter and, as a contingency, some favorite charities. I know that my USA will is not valid in the UK. Does the UK allow self-written wills, properly witnessed, or am I going to have to find a lawyer to have one written up over here to mirror my USA will? It's a pretty simple proposition, since I don't have a lot of property and my investments are already designated to go to her if anything happens to me.
Also, I have a document for power of medical attorney (USA), same question....
Thanks!
