Baby showers
« on: December 04, 2004, 09:56:48 AM »
I'm pregnant, due at the end of January.  My friends & family in the USA wanted to throw me some sort of baby shower.  We won't be able to go to the US until probably November 2005, so I thought an online registry might work.  I know I've seen them before, but now I can't find any!

Is anyone aware of baby gift registries on UK websites?

I was debating whether it would be cheaper for my family to order gifts here rather than ship them from overseas.

thanks, Theresa
(PS I'm not trying to be greedy in setting up my own shower!  Really, my cousin asked me to find out)

I tried to do this too, there aren't many.   I think John Lewis does. Argos does but they don,t have much baby stuff, mostly toys.

Thanks for your help - sorry it's taken me so long to reply!

With a fair number of Americans in this country, I'm surprised more organisations haven't jumped on the "shower" market.

I'm sure I saw that either Mothercare or babies R us did showers, but now I can't find the info anywhere.  I'll try John Lewis ...
