Hi there!
« on: December 06, 2004, 03:06:03 PM »
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself!

My name is Kathleen and I live in Watford (Herts.).  I moved here from CT in 2002 after marrying my adorable Brit James!

When I first arrived, I was overwhelmed by the systems here especially when it came to work and healthcare.  However, 2+ years later and I have settled in nicely and must admit there are many things I would miss if we were to move back to the States!  I just came back from a month long visit and I was having Indian food withdrawals!!!

I have been reading through loads of forums today and the information here is very handy!  Just discovered Uncle Sam needs me to file taxes!!!  Oh well, I am just a few months behind!!

Well just wanted to say hi!!!

Welcome Patches! I am glad to hear that you have settled in okay into the UK.  I hope you enjoy the forum!

Thanks!  The name comes from those cute little bears that you see all patched up in the Clinton Card stores!  I get one from my husband for every holiday and occassion!
